Stala Charalambous heads the varied and busy Family Law Department. With over 22 years’ experience in Family Law matters, she handles all areas of family Law in particular Divorce, financial applications, children and cohabitation.

As a Member of Resolution Family First (Previously known as the Solicitors Family Law Association) and in accordance with their Code, clients are encouraged to adopt a constructive and non-confrontational approach in order to keep the channels of communication open.

This assists to identify and narrow the issues, progress negotiations and for matters to be resolved amicably and as speedily as possible to avoid the costs and stress of a contested court Hearing. This has resulted in most of Stala’s cases being resolved without the need for a Final Trial. Notwithstanding this, a tough approach is taken when required and Stala is a match for all competitors in litigation.

Stala graduated with a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of London, completed the Law Society Finals course at the   Guildford College of Law and was admitted as a Solicitor in 1989.  In 1996 Stala set up her own firm Stala Erimos Charalambous & Co, dealing mainly with Family & Matrimonial and Civil Litigation matters. Her clients have come from all walks of life, cover a wide spectrum and have resided in the UK and abroad.

Fluent in the Greek language, a skilful negotiator and litigator with a client focused approach. Impartial advice is given to her clients specific to their needs and requirements in a friendly, sensitive and professional manner. Stala has been known to be very meticulous in her work and always tries to go ‘the extra mile’.

Stala is registered with the charity ‘Care for the Family’ and her membership of professional bodies / organisations include: The Law Society of England & Wales; Law Society of England & Wales International Division Group; The City of Westminster and Holborn Law Society; The North Middlesex Law Society; Resolution-First for Family; Association of Women Solicitors; Lawyers Christian Fellowship; Legal Friends of Gingerbread; The Legal Sector Alliance on climate change;

 

Stala married in 1984 and has two sons aged 23 and 17. At the weekend she can be found supporting her son on the Rugby pitch and catching up on her culinary skills.

In 2010 Stala was one of the candidates in the local Law Society Elections for the North Middlesex Constituency.

One of the things you may like to know about Stala is that she is a keen charity fundraiser .This has included running the 5km Race for Life to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
