Anna is a trainee solicitor currently working in the firm’s Family department.
Anna joined Silverman Sherliker as a trainee solicitor in July 2010. She completed her first seat in the Property Department, her second seat in the Employment Department and is currently undertaking her final year-long seat in the Family Department. Anna will be qualifying as a solicitor in England and Wales in July 2012.
In the Family Department, Anna assists with a range of family law matters including divorce, ancillary relief, children and marital agreements. She has experience in both contentious and non-contentious family matters including drafting divorce documentation, preparing and reviewing financial disclosure, drafting and considering Without Prejudice proposal letters, preparing children applications, as well as instructing and assisting Counsel at several hearings in London.
Anna attended Yokohama International School in Japan for 15 years and speaks Japanese.
She is a graduate of both Durham University where she read law and Sussex University where she received a distinction for her Family Law specific LLM. Anna completed the LPC at the College of Law in Bloomsbury, London, where she was also involved in pro bono work for the National Centre for Domestic Violence.
Prior to joining Silverman Sherliker, Anna worked for a year at an International School in Tokyo, Japan where she taught Advanced Algebra and Physical Education to secondary school students.
