Gareth Hughes heads the Private Client team within the firm, advising on all aspects of wills and estate administration, trusts, tax planning, powers of attorney and court of protection matters.

Gareth has considerable experience in advising non-domiciled clients and those with cross jurisdiction issues.

Gareth also advises on contentious matters including Inheritance Act claims, challenges to a will and claims against executors and trustees who act for an estate or trust.

Gareth has over nine years experience acting for medium to ultra high net worth clients including City professionals, SMEs and CEOs.

Gareth was admitted as a solicitor in 2002. He headed a Private Client department in a high street firm for five years, and for the past three years has been head of Private Client at a City firm. Gareth has recently joined Silverman Sherliker, to head the Private Client team.

One thing you may be interested to know about Gareth is that he is passionate about rugby and has played for England schoolboys.
