Adam Powell is a corporate lawyer. He leads, and advises clients in a broad range of sectors, on a variety of commercial transactions including:
- Company and business acquisitions, mergers and sales;
- Shareholder and investment arrangements;
- Public and private company capital raising, including IPOs;
- Corporate recovery, in particular in relation to administration proceedings; and
- General company, commercial trading and contract advice.
These transactions often involve an international element.
His recent work includes:
- Acting for the majority shareholders of Dynamic IT Management Services Limited (Dynamic) in relation to the sale of the entire issued share capital of Dynamic to MartkitSERV Limited, including Dynamic’s subsidiaries Logicscope Ltd and TradeSTP Ltd
- Acting for investment fund Tern Capital Limited in relation to its investment in Dragons Interiors Ltd, which included a related purchase of the business and assets of a high profile retail brand
- Advising suppliers to a national superstore in relation to the superstore’s new general terms and conditions of trading.
Adam trained with a firm in the City, qualifying as an Assistant Solicitor in 2001 into its company/commercial department. He moved to a West End firm as an Associate in 2005 and then joined Irwin Mitchell in London in 2007. He is a member of R3 (The Association of Business Recovery Professionals) and the Employment Lawyers Association
Adam became a Partner at Silverman Sherliker in August 2011.
