As an Assistant Solicitor in the Family Law department, Vanessa deals with a wide range of issues arising from the breakdown of a relationship, including divorce, separation, cohabitation disputes, children and financial matters.

Vanessa is a member of Resolution - a specialist family law organisation, which promotes a non-adversarial approach, and Vanessa encourages the use of mediation to help resolve issues, where appropriate.  Vanessa understands, however, that some cases will require court applications and a firm approach to negotiations.  
 
Formerly a trainee at Silverman Sherliker LLP, Vanessa completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London.  Her first degree is a BA Hons in Philosophy and Politics from Bristol University.

Prior to training as a solicitor, Vanessa had a successful career as a broadcast journalist.
