Stefan Arestis qualified into the litigation department in September 2008 and works on a variety of property and commercial related disputes.
On the commercial side, Stefan acts for a variety of SMEs, insolvency practitioners and high net-worth individuals, dealing with bankruptcy claims, professional negligence claims and a variety of company disputes. Stefan has gained substantial advocacy experience by appearing before Registrars and Judges at both County Court and High Court level, including working on the reported case of Dean v Stout (Trustee in Bankruptcy) [2005] EWHC 3315 (CH).
On the property side, Stefan deals with landlord and tenant disputes including possession claims, dilapidation claims and rent arrears. Stefan has a particular interest in leasehold enfranchisement claims (buying the freehold), having had first-hand experience of this with his own flat. Stefan is also a member of the Property Litigation Association.
After finishing his law degree at Kings College London and his LPC at the College of Law, Stefan took a year out. He put his Greek skills to good use by working at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004, and volunteered and travelled through South America.
