Robert specialises in trade mark matters, advising clients across a full spectrum of industries and market sectors. With a background that combines intellectual property law with international branding and marketing, he provides specialist advice on both the legal and commercial aspects of new and existing products.
Previously with the specialist creative arm of a major London firm of trade mark and patent attorneys, Robert has been closely involved in developing numerous well-known brands, including the London Eye for British Airways, international vehicle ranges for General Motors and Sainsbury’s own-label lines. He has broadcast on branding and trade mark topics in the UK and South Africa.
Robert was born in the Outer Hebrides, and educated in Glasgow, Paris and Edinburgh, where he studied both modern languages and international marketing.
