John Abbott heads our busy Dispute Resolution Department. He manages a varied and busy civil litigation practice which deals with a wide range of commercial disputes which include; shareholder and director disputes, contractual disputes, asset recovery, asset protection, intellectual property rights, property litigation and insolvency litigation. John has considerable experience dealing with high value and complex contentious matters, often involving multijurisdictional issues.

John is a longstanding member of the Property Litigation Association, and deals with all manner of property related disputes.

John graduated in Law from Birmingham University in 1982, and was admitted as a solicitor in 1987 when he joined Shindler & Co. From there he moved to Finers and then joined Silverman Sherliker LLP as a partner.

He has considerable experience representing clients in mediations and in other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
