Recruitment Law
Silverman
Sherliker LLP is particularly strong in the recruitment industry, a specialism
that dates right back to the Firm’s inception.
Our long history of acting for recruitment industry players places us in
an ideal position to advise on legal matters in this competitive and evolving
industry.
Our expertise is
acknowledged by the REC, which includes our Firm among its “Panel of Recommended
Lawyers”.
We have in-depth
expertise in handling all legal issues faced by recruiters. Our lawyers assist clients in ensuring
compliance with the Conduct of Employment
Agencies and Employment Business Regulations 2003, and the Employment Act 1973. We also regularly update our clients on new
legislation as it affects the recruitment industry.
Our Recruitment
Department is highly experienced in the full range of contentious matters that
affect recruitment businesses, including the ‘hiring and firing’ of
consultants, and dealing with the drafting, breach and enforcement of
restrictive covenants.
We also defend
prosecutions brought by the Employment
Agency Standards Inspectorate.
Working closely
with our Litigation Department, we have many years of experience in resolving
fee disputes and breaches of terms and conditions in hiring candidates.
Ideally located
for the City, and easily-accessible from the West End, we advise recruitment
agencies and head-hunters across all business sectors, especially finance,
investment banking, commodities, information technology, food, legal,
REC-to-REC, multi-linguists, transport, senior management, administrative and
secretarial.
