The firm offers a full range of contentious and non-contentious Construction Law services.
We provide advice on all kinds of contruction contracts and associated documentation including the JCT suite of contracts and review and negotiation of consultant's appointments based on the standard forms published by the RIBA, the RICS and the ACE. The team has particular expertise and experience in negotiating on behalf or sub-contractors commissioned to create artistic or original and design orientated installations or structures for both private and public use and display.
As well as advising and negotiating on contracts and appointments, the team advises on and negotiates letters of appointment, collateral warranties, guarantee bonds. parent company guarantees as well as dealing with assignments and novations and advising on the CMD Regulations.
The contentious team has wide ranging experience of acting for employers, developers, sub-contractors and consultants in disputes both in the Technology and Construction Courts as well as in arbitrations.
The team has experience in advising on adjudications under the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 and is a keen promoter of mediation as a form of of effective alternative dispute resolution. This enables clients to save not only legal costs and management time but also provides certainty of outcome.
